Recovery Pro TroubleshootingUpdated 9 months ago

Why am I not seeing all of the files that I know are on my memory card?

  • You should “Enable fragmented recovery” to perform a deeper scan of your memory card. Once enabled, you will receive a message on the screen letting you know that this process will take a while to complete, since it does a deeper scan.

How can I ensure the best process for Recovery Pro?

  • First, make sure that you select the type(s) of files you would like to recover.  They will appear with a blue background once selected.

  • To ensure the best results, make sure to “enable fragmented recovery” and select the camera manufacturer from the list provided. This will help the process accurately reflect the file type that your camera uses.

  • IMPORTANT: Please make sure your computer or external drive has enough free space to save the recovered data

  • For example, if you are trying to recover data from a 128GB memory card, you must have 128GB free in your hard drive or external drive even if the memory card is not full. You will need to create a Backup Image and select the drive where you want to save these files.

Why can’t I see any files in my memory card using Recovery Pro?

  • If you cannot see any files in your memory card, this may mean that the card has gone through a full format or has been formatted in a Sony camera.
